National Gumbo Day
It’s National Gumbo Day!
For a little bit of trivia information, the word “gumbo” comes from the West African word “ki ngombo” for “okra”. West Africans used okra as a thickener in their version of the dish. Around here, the preference of okra in gumbo can cause a family feud!
If that cooking feud leads to a kitchen fire, give us a call! We can’t help put the family back in order but we can get that kitchen back to it’s pre-fire condition. We do have to remedy for that.
